Karen Mortfield

Director

Karen Mortfield, Director, brings a wealth of media, government and stakeholder relations expertise to the Communicor Group.  Karen began her communications career in several of Canada's largest radio news operations, including CFTR and Broadcast News. Karen was network news director of CKO, a nationwide chain of news radio stations, where she honed her skills and understanding of what makes news and how the media works.  From the newsroom, Karen moved to the world of politics where she worked as press secretary to a provincial party leader and as a senior communications advisor for a host of Ontario cabinet ministers, including Intergovernmental Affairs, Finance, Education and Culture.

After leaving politics, Karen established a successful career as a media trainer and presentation coach. She worked for one of the country's largest communications and government relations agencies before being recruited to successive senior communications, government relations, advocacy and leadership roles in the real estate, consumer goods and gaming industries.
